Getting Started

Use the Member Login button, then sign in with the email you used to enroll. First-time users will be prompted to verify their identity and set a password. If you can't access your account, use "Forgot password" or contact support.
Your case moves through five stages: Intake (you complete the assessment), Preliminary review, Provider consultation, Approval & prescription, and Shipping & ongoing support. You can track your current stage anytime from your portal dashboard.
You can message your care team directly inside the patient portal, or reach the support team through the Help Center. Most messages receive a response within one business day.

Intake & Consultation

A licensed provider reviews your health profile to confirm eligibility. You'll then be scheduled for a video or phone consultation. After your visit, if approved, your personalized treatment plan and prescription are sent to a partner pharmacy for compounding.
Have a current weight and a list of medications and allergies ready, find a quiet private space, and test your camera or phone connection beforehand. Jot down any questions about dosing or side effects so you can ask your provider directly.
All follow-up happens through secure messaging in your patient portal. You can report how you're feeling, ask about dose adjustments, and your provider will respond and update your plan as needed.
If a provider determines GLP-1 treatment isn't appropriate for you right now, they'll explain why. You won't be charged for medication, and the team can point you toward other options or a re-evaluation if your circumstances change.

Your Medication

Check that the contents match your order, review the included package insert and dosing schedule, and store the medication as directed (most compounded GLP-1s are refrigerated). Follow your provider's titration plan and reach out through the portal with any questions before your first dose.
Your kit includes step-by-step instructions for your specific format (injection or oral tablet). For injections, rotate sites (abdomen, thigh, upper arm), use a new needle each time, and inject at the same time weekly. Detailed how-to guides are available in the Help Center.
The most common side effects are mild nausea, constipation, or fatigue, usually early on as your body adjusts. Eating smaller, lower-fat meals, staying hydrated, and following a gradual dose increase help minimize them. Contact your provider if symptoms are severe or persistent.
Most compounded GLP-1 medications should be kept refrigerated (36–46°F) and protected from light. Do not freeze. Follow the specific storage instructions on your package insert, and never use medication that has been left at room temperature longer than directed.
Carry your medication in an insulated travel case with a cold pack, keep it in your carry-on (never checked luggage), and bring the original packaging. For air travel, medically necessary items are generally permitted — allow extra time at security.
Pair your medication with a protein-forward diet, regular movement and strength training, adequate sleep, and hydration. Stay consistent with your dosing schedule and keep your care team updated so they can fine-tune your plan over time.

Delivery & Shipping

Once your order ships, a tracking link is posted to your patient portal and emailed to you. Shipments are sent in temperature-controlled, discreet packaging. Plan to be available to refrigerate your medication promptly on the delivery day.
Orders are not processed or shipped on federal holidays, and carriers don't deliver those days. To keep your cold-chain medication safe, shipments are timed to avoid sitting in transit over a holiday or weekend.
Prescriptions are filled by vetted U.S.-based partner pharmacies (such as Belmar and Strive) depending on your formulation. Each shipment includes a package insert specific to the pharmacy and medication you received.

Billing, HSA/FSA & Refunds

No. There is no membership fee. The cost of your medication includes your clinical visits, annual lab panel, and shipping — one flat, all-inclusive price.
Yes. medACCESS accepts most HSA and FSA cards at checkout. If your card isn't recognized, you can pay with a standard card and submit your itemized receipt to your benefits administrator for reimbursement.
Because medications are personally compounded for you, shipped prescriptions generally cannot be returned for safety reasons. If you're not approved after your consultation, you are not charged for medication. For billing questions, contact support through your portal.

Labs & Nutrition

Your annual lab panel is included in your plan and typically covers metabolic markers, blood sugar (A1c), and other values your provider uses to monitor your health and tailor your dose. Your care team will order and review these for you.
Eat smaller portions more frequently, prioritize lean protein and fiber, limit greasy or very rich foods, and sip water throughout the day. Eating slowly and stopping when comfortably full helps reduce nausea, especially after a dose increase.

Privacy & Policies

Yes. medACCESS uses a HIPAA-compliant, secure telemedicine platform with SOC 2 certification and regular penetration testing. Your health information is encrypted and never sold.
You can review the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Medical Consent anytime. Notice of Privacy Practices, the patient Bill of Rights, and California-resident disclosures are available in the Help Center.
